Maker Faire is a few days away and I’m a huge believer that bringing ideas to life is one of the most fulfilling things a person can do. There is something extremely empowering about creating something near and dear to you. There is something even more incredible when other people take notice of your passion.
One such example that comes to mind would be the DODOcase. While this particular example might not have been 3D printed, the case’s inception started at a maker space. The founder was taught to sand, cut, and sew and the results from the maker community clearly speak for themselves. It’s an amazing example of one person’s passion for hand crafting and high quality design gaining a ton of momentum and changing a hobby into a full time business. A rapidly growing business at that.
