First Week of Geometry Class with Riley
Riley is a 9th grade student in the Bay Area who began 3D printing with a Rapman in middle school, mastered CAD design software in less than a year, and continues to spread his love of all things 3D to his friends and fellow students. He currently prints with Cube, 3D Touch, and Rapman printers at home and at school, and occasionally shares his 3D printing adventures with Cubify.
So, this week, I’ve been sent back to school. Horrible as this may be, It’s given me more opportunities to work on my engineering and printing skills, as I’m in Geometry now.
This week, I printed a type of 3d graph called an astrid for my teacher. It looks like a series of 90 degree curves, sort of what happens if you invert a circle, raised into a pyramid. I tried some spinning top style ones, but this design turned out to be much more economical for plastic usage.

That’s all for now,
