File of the Week
We’ve met countless creative minds on our Odyssey thus far, but one in particular served as my inspiration for this week’s file. It happened while I was unintentionally eavesdropping today on our visit to “The Bean” in Chicago’s Millennium Park. For those of you who are unfamiliar with it, “The Bean,” or more formally known as “Cloud Gate,” is a steel sculpture with a mirrored surface that reflects the skyline surrounding the park. For most, the sculpture is dubbed “The Bean” because of its uncanny resemblance to, well, a bean. For another woman standing next to me at the park today, however, the sculpture was more reminiscent of the front-view of the Cubify file above. After hearing her repeatedly refer to “The Bean” as a bike helmet for a half hour, it eventually just stuck. Hence my inspiration for today’s file of the week, which will forever remind me of our Chicago stop. Can you see the resemblance?
Stay tuned for some more awesome snapshots from our visit to Millennium Park, where the Cube made quite the cameo.
