“Bring Your Dog to Work” day

Tuesday, July 24th was our first annual “Bring Your Dog to Work” day at our headquarters in Rock Hill, SC. It didn’t take a study to show us that having dogs in the workplace can decrease stress – we had so much fun with our furry friends. We hosted a German Shepherd, a Maltipoo, a Schnauzer, and many more, and even treated them to some Cube-printed bones!

Do you bring your dog to work?

I have two very intelligent dogs, Biscuit and Barney. Barney is a Jack Russell (age 6) from a rsuece group and Biscuit is mix pit-bull (age from the Cincinnati ASPCA. I don’t even want to know what Barney would do if he had thumbs, but I DO know what Biscuit would do!Biscuit takes medication for epilepsy and the side-effect is that she is constantly hungry and thirsty. We call her the SUPER SCAVENGER! Here’s a day and a life with Biscuit if she had thumbs. She has her own room with an alarm clock, she would unplug the clock immediately. She doesn’t care what time it is, she will sleep all day if she wants to. After sleeping until 10am, she would be half starved and she would toss off her blanket, give a thumbs up to her dog buds taking a walk (she has a large picture window and is on the 3rd floor, she can see it all.) She would jump outta bed and hit the bathroom for a quick pee. After flushing the toilet and watching the water swirl down, she would give the toilet a smirk because it slightly cracks her up. Why? Don’t know either. Next, she would run down the stairs and hit the fridge, her favorite meal besides pizza? Scrambled eggs and toast. She would whip up a batch and give most of it to herself and Barney would get the scraps. Next? IT IS TIME FOR CARTOONS! She would plop down on the sofa in her favorite spot and watch TV for a few hours. After that she would steal my keys and take a joyride to her favorite restaurant Mickey D’s. Using her thumbs to tell the manager what she wants to order, she’d super size it BABY!After all of that, she’d be tired and want to go home and take a nap. After the nap, she would poke her Daddy in the gut and tell him to take her to the pond where she’d go swimming and use her thumbs to grab half dead fish and eat em. After getting in the bathtub and pretending to wash the fish smell off, she would call her Granny and tell her all about her day. Grandma and Biscuit are extra close! Finally, she would MOST definitely get online and go straight to Threedog.com and order about 10 birthday cakes and every one of them would say HAPPY BIRTHDAY BISCUIT! And then it would be bedtime and she would make her Mother (me) read her favorite book Amazing Gracie, and we would both cry at the ending like we have so many times before, but Biscuit would be there to wipe my tears with her thumbs.
